Annitha Kontyo

Annitha is bilingual in English and IsiXhosa. Annitha Kontyo is a South African born Actress. In 2018 Annitha was cast in an all female version of Othello as the lead character, making her the first female to play Othello in Cape Town. She went onto performing for 6 months with the successful show. Annitha studied Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy campus in Sydney taught by teachers such as Aaron Glenane, Marcus Graham and Steven Hunter. Annitha has recently worked on Noughts and Crosses (2019). While in Cape Town Annitha enjoyed helping out with free acting workshops in her neighbourhood and bounding with young and rising artists through acting. Annitha is a strong and vivacious Xhosa woman with a lot of culture.
